The Ritz-Carlton

I was spending the last couple of days in the hospital because my mom was having surgery, so while I was waiting with my bf, we took pictures.

We were talking to this one guy who reminded me of my uncle in the cafeteria. His mom is in a nursing home and every so often she has an attack where she has to go to the Huntington Memorial hospital. Him and his sister call Huntington Memorial "the Ritz" and her nursing home "Motel 6". I thought that was funny.. but seriously, this hospital looked like a hotel.

Today, I matched my dog

If you were wondering, I get my inspiration from my daily outfits from anything and everything around me. It could be from a certain texture, furniture, a print, a flower, or a sailboat. Today, I got my inspiration from my dog. I just bought my dog a new harness (because he wheezes everytime a try to stop him from peeing on everything when we go on walks) and to go with that, a new leash. They had only a limited number of color/leash combinations (and he's a boy dog so I didn't want him to look girly) so, I ended up picking an orange harness and a rainbow leash. Today, on our walk, I decided to match him!

The Actual American Apparel Flea Market

So, here's the update of the actual American Apparel Flea Market. In total, there was probably 100,000 people there the whole day (at least).. and I'm not even counting the alley that I was too tired to venture into. I waited 5 hours in line and bought 3 items (a shirt for my mom and 2 dresses). And I feel like they were kind of lying about the whole "all apparel from $1" because the only thing that was $1 that I saw was the water they were selling to the people in line. I saw a couple people that I've seen before who work for American Apparel.. like the CEO and that grey-haired creepy-looking guy that shows up in the American Apparel pictures oogling the other young girls. My friend and I were also asked to become employees for the company (yes, I signed up...50% discount!).. and this little boy in front of us in line was recruited to be a model (Now I know where they find them!). Anyways.. enough rambling. PICTURES!

Here is the dress I bought (and now love!)

Blue Stripes

I didn't get much sleep last night (hence the sunglasses) and I had to walk around school today in 90-100 degree weather, so I feel kind of beat. Riverside is the kind of place where you don't see many flowers because they burn too quickly before you can enjoy them. To compensate, I treated myself to my favorite food: Rubios fish tacos.

Sunglasses: School booth
Blue and White striped dress: Some store in Little Tokyo
Elastic Shoes: Urban Outfitters
Pearl Cluster Necklace: Gift

Wrap Skirt

I was just hanging out today watching the Lakers game and was dissappointed that they lost.. for the second time. It's OK though.. because they are going to win the next one. My friends and I laugh about how Pierce (Celtics) had to be carried off last game, only to return 5 minutes later walking fine. Basketball players are such actors.

Shirt: J Crew

Seafaring anyone?

I was cleaning out my apartment today and found some clothes that I haven't worn all year. I decided to try them on and noticed they were almost the exact same color scheme. They have the same nautical look and even though patterns and stripes are kind of a risky combination... I think they looked OK.
